Want to make dog beds for pets in need?

There is a woman from Arizona has made doggie beds for shelters.

She has passed on the “Recipe” for the beds to others to make.

Here is the info on how to make the beds. Make them and give them to your local shelters!

Very easy recipe even for beginners! Use fleece and the fiberfill made by Fairfield (the bag will say it’s guaranteed not to mat or clump). Joanne Fabrics and Walmart usually carry it. Here are the yardage amounts and fiberfill amounts: 3/4 yd fleece uses 16 oz fiberfill; 7/8 yd uses 20 oz; 1 or 1 1/8 yds uses 24 oz; 1 1/4 or 1 1/3 yds uses 32 oz; 1 1/2 yds uses 40 – 48 oz. Pin the fleece right sides together along selvedge (finished) edge. Sew along that edge about 3/4 inch seam allowance, and when you get toward the bottom of the seam, pivot the needle and sew along that lower edge also about 3/4 inch seam. Trim those corners and turn fleece right side out. You’ve made a fleece pillow case! Dump in the fiberfill (comes in 16, 20, 32 oz bags, sometimes 12 oz; get what’s most cost effective and easy for you to work with). Push some fill into the corners; to close it start sewing the open edge together starting at the seamed edge; sew it closed with a zigzag or feather stitch or similar; shake around the fiberfill and you’re done! Wash in cool or warm water, dry on low heat.
Then take to your shelter to help out a Doggie or Kitty with a nice bed to sleep on!
